Local recognition of South Australian produced jumpers worn by the Australian Cricket Team
The State Minister for Agriculture, Leon Bignell, joined Annabell Digance, Member for Elder and several industry leaders including Steven Read, CEO Michell Wool, and Geoff Power, President Livestock SA for a tour of the Silver Fleece factory today.
Most noted during the tour was the story behind the process of the jumpers worn by the Australian Cricket team. The wool is sourced from Merino sheep originating in the Flinders Ranges, processed by Michell Wool in Salisbury South and knitted here at the factory in Kilkenny SA before being couriered direct to Cricket Australia.
Silver Fleece is very proud to be a part of this great South Australian story and we believe it is a testament to our commitment for quality that we continue to be chosen as the supplier of cable-knit jumpers for the Australian Cricket team.
